Canon Cameras, Photo Shoot
FMCG International were contact by Canon Cameras to provide an F1 car for their latest 21 Megapixel camera pan European advertising campaign. The Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III redefines camera technology and engineering, F1 was chosen as a great background to highlight this connection.
From the initial brief Canon specified a silver F1 car, which meant we needed to complete wrap one of our cars in a special vinyl wrap. The car started red and finished silver, Canon were so pleased that they could have the car in their exact colour requirement; with no compromise.
In order to show case the Canon EOS-1Ds the camera had to take centre stage and the car become part of the background. We produced a series of shots for Canon to choose from, enabling them to use different images and angles for different publications.
The world famous photographer Andy Earl was chosen for the assignment, Andy has amassed an enviable portfolio of work mainly in the music industry, as well as some award-winning work in advertising. He has produced some of music’s most memorable images of artists, including Madonna, Prince, Robbie Williams and the late Johnny Cash.
