FMCG International provided British Energy - part of EDF Energy an event for 100 staff and contractors at the Sizewell B Power Station in Suffolk, England. The power station was due to undergo a full outage, which in brief means shutting down the nuclear reactor, removing the old fuel rods and replacing them with new, while carrying out other essential maintenance tasks. This is a specialist technical challenge, which brings staff and contractors together in a focused, high pressure environment for a period of 10 weeks.

The staff and contractors would not normally work together and FMCG provided a F1 key note team building speaker, an F1 pit stop challenge with two of our F1 cars and our very own hands on “Make you own F1 Car”. All tasks were designed to help introduce people to one and other, while simultaneously allowing the Outage Manager and Station Director to assess peoples team capabilities.

To finish the day a BBQ and refreshments were provided, which enabled people to continue to meet new faces and discuss the tasks they had taken part in during the day.
