F1 Theme Park
Formula One Theme Park Exhibition Stand, Autosport Show
Motor City Dubai owned by Union Properties used FMCG to provide an F1 car at the Autosport Show in Birmingham, the largest motorsport exhibition in the world. Motor City launched their new official Formula One Theme Park project in Dubai. The theme park is part of Motor City and includes automotive industry, housing and recreational facilities.
Not only did FMCG provide the F1 car, we designed the supporting frame and struts, project managed the build and installed the car completely upside down on the exhibition stand. Using a 20 ton mobile crane we turned the car over and secured it to the frame using mounting brackets that we manufactured specially for the stand. Projectors were angled onto each tyre with a continual rotating pattern, so that each wheel appeared to turn.
Throughout the Autosport show it was a major attraction and talking point. Our client commented a few hours into the first day, that they had received more attention and visitors in two hours that they were hoping for in four days! Proving once again that F1 really does work to generate interest.
